Hello. My name is John Hayes and I have been developing websites for nearly 30 years. Although I work with a few freelancers, I write, design and code almost everything myself from my home office. Clients therefore benefit from low charges, a single point of contact and my decades of experience.

Webmaker.UK is owned and managed by John Hayes, who has over 30 years' experience as a business writer and web developer.
With a degree in computer science and psychology from the University of St Andrews in the United Kingdom, John's career began in journalism and corporate communications. But he quickly recognised the potential of the World Wide Web and built his first website for a paying customer in 1993.
Other commissions followed, and in 1996 he founded Webmaker.UK as a specialist web development consultancy.
John's technical know-how gives him the ability to translate ideas into attractive and effective websites. He is also a skilled and experienced copywriter, able to crystallise key messages and create text that communicates effectively with its target audiences. John writes in grammatically correct, idiomatic English.
His websites are built by hand – ensuring fast, efficient code and intrinsically high SEO.
